A new local church forming now in Marietta, GA.
Who We Are
Gem City Church is a spiritual family. We are a group of ordinary people that have been transformed by the person of Jesus and the message of the gospel. We believe that everyone who accepts the message of the gospel is also called to embrace the mission of the gospel. God is at work in the city of Marietta, GA, and we want to be a part of what He is doing in our city and around the world.
We are a Bible-believing, Christ-exalting, Gospel-centered, Grace-filled, Spirit-led, Discipleship-driven, Community-focused, Mission-minded, Family-oriented local church.
“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3

About Us
Grant Partrick is the pastor of Gem City Church. He is dedicated to teaching the Word of God and shepherding the people of God through the local church.
God changed Grant’s life as a college student in 2008 through the ministry of Passion Conferences, and soon after, God began to stir Grant’s heart toward ministry and to develop in him a deep love for the Church. Grant joined the team at Passion City Church in 2014 where he served in various leadership roles over the course of 12 years. Grant earned his Masters in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2021. While serving in the local church and studying theology, God started to put a new dream in Grant’s heart—planting a local church. He cares deeply about building a spiritual family that enjoys and amplifies the glory of God.
He and his wife Maggie love living in Marietta, Georgia, with their three girls, Mercy, Ember, and Charleigh. They believe Jesus is moving in this community and are excited to be a part of what He is doing.
Oversight
Gem City Church is committed to being an elder-governed local church. Because we are a new church plant and Scripture calls for time and discernment in observing and installing elders, we are under the oversight of an Advisory Board, made up of five men, for our first two years. This board is actively working to build the structures for eldership and membership at Gem City Church, and part of their charge is to help Gem City Church observe, identify, interview, and install local elders. At the end of their two-year commitment, the Advisory Board will commission the church into the care of those elders and dissolve.
